There are many reasons why your water heater is not heating. In an electrical water heater resetting your water heater settings may fix the issue. You can start by removing the two small thermostat panels on your water heater. One panel is about 5 inches from the top of the heater and the other is about 5 inches from the bottom of the heater. ready-made company The panels are held by two screws and you can remove the panels by removing the screws. Once you open up the panels you will see a thermostat to set the temperature of your water heater. You will also see red reset buttons. By pushing the red reset buttons the water heater settings will all return to the original setting. This may fix the issue of why your tank is not heating up. When setting your thermostat settings, the manufacture recommendation is to set thermostat at 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Any temperature above this can lead to scalding.
